Despite the loss, head coach Sean Fisher was pleased with his team's effort saying, "This is one of the best matches we've played this year. Everybody really stepped up and contributed."
When asked where the team fell short Fisher responded, "Our receiving errors and service errors were a factor tonight. If we can get those serves in we make the other team play the ball and there's a chance they will make a mistake."
"If we play like we did tonight on Saturday," Fisher continued, "I think we will be successful."
The Hornets (4-8, 1-1 NAC) return to the court Saturday at home against Green Mountain at 12:00pm and UMPI at 4:00pm.
