Box Score BANGOR, Maine – The Lyndon women's soccer team fell to Husson University 6-0 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action Sunday.
Katey Curtis put the Eagles on the board in the 27th minute off an assist by Alison Boulier. Boulier picked up another assist in the 41st minute when she served a ball into the box to Curtis, Curtis shot the ball off the right post but Hannah Clough was there for the putback goal. In the 44th minute, Leah Hibbad's header increased the score to 3-0 before the half.
Curtis picked up her second goal of the game in the 54th minute with an assist by Sydney Costa. Hibbad notched her second tally in the 59th minute off a Maddie Page assist. Husson's scoring concluded in the 69th minute off Boulier's score from six yards out.
Johanna Sargent (West Brookfield, Vt.) took the loss for the Hornets but recorded 10 saves on the day. Aitanna Greenwood (Salt Lake City, Utah) would post the Hornets' only shot of the day.
Kayla Gordon picked up the win in net for the Eagles (5-5-1, 2-2 NAC).
The Hornets (1-7-1, 0-4 NAC) host Colby-Sawyer Saturday at 1:00pm.
