Box Score CASTINE, Maine – The Lyndon women's soccer team was topped by Maine Maritime Academy 4-0 Saturday afternoon at Ritchie Field.
In the 9th minute the Mariners jumped on the board when Makayla Lewis found the back of the net. Just six minutes later the Mariners would increase the lead after Miranda McIntire's pass to Briana Obshatkin led to another goal.
Lewis picked up her second goal of the game with a header off a deflected shot in the 40th minute.
In the 51st minute the Mariners scored their fourth and final goal of the game.
Johanna Sargent (West Brookfield, Vt.) stopped 12 shots for the Hornets while Maggie McConkey picked up the win for the with a three-save shutout.
The Hornets (1-6-1, 0-3 NAC) face Husson University tomorrow at 1:00pm.
