Box Score JOHNSON, Vt. – The Lyndon women's soccer team lost to Johnson State 3-1 in North Atlantic Conference play Wednesday.
Maddison Prescott picked up two goals in the 84th minute to give the Badgers the win and some insurance.
After a scoreless 30 minutes, Kylie Aither buried the Badgers' first goal of the game off of an assist from Ashlee Trayah to put the Badgers on the board 1-0. The score would hold into the half-time break.
Hornet Kiya DeWitt (Pittsburgh, N.H.) was able to knock a ball past Johnson keeper, Nichole Weeks in the 77th minute to knot the game up at 1-1.
Less than five minutes after reentering the game, Prescott would pick up the game-winning goal off a pass from Kylie Aither. Just 30 seconds later Prescott increased the lead and the Badgers would finish with a 3-1 win.
Johanna Sargent (West Brookfield, Vt.) made nine saves in the loss while Johnson's Weeks made three saves in the victory.
The Hornets (1-10-1, 0-7 NAC) host Me.-Fort Kent Saturday at 1:00pm.
