LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Lyndon improved to 4-6 on the season Saturday with a pair of victories over the University of Maine at Presque Isle and Green Mountain College in a tri-match held at Stannard Gymnasium.

Lyndon 3, UMPI 0
Joy Piper (Belmont, N.H.) led the way for the Hornets with an 11-kill, seven-dig, three-block performance as Lyndon recorded a hard-fought 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 win over the Owls (0-9).

Morgan Diltz (Moultonborough, N.H.) had eight kills, six services aces and five digs for Lyndon and Abbey Greene (Exeter, R.I.) collected seven kills to go along with 10 digs. Gwyneth Stahl (whitinsville, Mass.) handed out 23 assists in the match and collected 11 digs.

Randi Kaplan had five kills, seven assists and three services aces for UMPI while teammates Abbey Jewett (12), Shaina Hood (10) and Mirandah Akeley (10) all had double-digit totals in digs.

Lyndon 3, Green Mountain 1
The Hornets completed the day's sweep with a 3-1 victory over North Atlantic Conference foe Green Mountain. The Hornets bested the Eagles by set scores of 25-19, 25-14, 17-25 and 25-20.

Greene amassed eight kills, seven services aces, three blocks and 11 digs for the Hornets and Diltz added seven kills, five service aces and 11 digs. Stahl dished out 19 assists and Kelleigh Murtaugh (Merrimack, N.H.) had seven service aces as well.

Madison Wage had 10 kills and six digs for the Eagles while Jennifer Seredejko had 16 assists and 10 digs in the loss. Celeste Bowers had five service aces and eight digs for Green Mountain and Hayley Provost amassed 12 digs in the match.
