LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — New England evened its North Atlantic Conference record at 1-1 Saturday with a 3-1 road victory over Lyndon.

Alyssa Krause gave the Pilgrims the lead for good 9:08 into the first half with a goal off an assist from Kristen Walker. Lenee Cyr upped the New England advantage to two goals at 35:59 with Courtney Joyal drawing an assist on the play.

Less than three minutes later, Sarah Cornell (Lyndonville, V.T.) cut the Pilgrim lead back to a single goal off an assist from Emily Strese (Gilmanton, N.H.), but Lauren Smith's tally with 19:55 left ended any chance of a Lyndon comeback. Jillian Zanine was credited with an assist on the Smith goal.

Tricia Sardagnola made eight saves to earn the win while Hornet goalie Marley Harmon (Buxton, Maine) stopped 14 shots in the loss. New England outshot Lyndon 30-14 and held a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.
