Badeen leads Maritime over Lyndon

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Mary Badeen connected on seven-of-11 three-point attempts as Maine Maritime Academy defeated Lyndon 73-55 Friday in North Atlantic Conference women's basketball action at Stannard Gymnasium.

Badeen poured in 30 points to lead the Mariners and teammate Leah Jackson added a double-double, scoring 10 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Kari Jones had 15 points for Maritime (13-11, 10-7) while Hanna Lyons and Rebekah Campbell chipped in five assists and three blocked shots, respectively.


Dannika Dobrowski (plainfield, Vt.) had 17 points for the Hornets (7-17, 5-12) and Chelsea Watson (Eliot, Maine) had 10. Donna Lawson (Irasburg, Vt.) had 10 rebounds and two blocks in the loss and Chelsea Bagley (Wallingford, Vt.) had three assists.
