Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Molly Todd scored two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game to lead Plymouth State to a 6-1 non-conference victory over Lyndon Wednesday at the Lyndon Athletic Field.
Todd punched home a pass from Emily Bell 7:20 into the first half to give the Panthers the lead for good and upped the advantage to 2-0 less than two minutes with an unassisted marker.
Bell got into the scoring act at 20:49 with an unassisted goal and Hannah Kallis capped the scoring in the opening half with a tally at 42:45. Plymouth goalkeeper Annaliese Schmidt drew an assist on the play.
In the second half, Latisha Bodge's unassisted goal at 65:43 pushed the lead to an insurmountable five goals before Laura Davis tallied the final goal of the game at the 84:39 mark. Courtney Barker was credited with an assist on the Davis goal.
In the waning minutes of the game, Lyndon's Emily Strese (Gilmanton, N.H.) ruined Plymouth's bid for a shutout with an unassisted goal with 2:29 left to play. Schmidt and Hannah Kimball combined to make four saves in the game while Hornet goalie Marley Harmon (Buxton, Maine) turned aside eight shots in the loss. The Panthers out shot Lyndon 26-10 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
