The Hornets took a 1-0 lead late in the first half as Hillary Bonasera drilled home a shot off a scramble in front of the Tiger net. The tally was unassisted. Seven minutes later, Cobleskill's Andrea Lisk scored from 35 meters out off an assist from Sarah Hoffman to knot the score at 1-1at intermission.

At the 62:43 mark in the second half, Hoffman sent a cross into the penalty area to teammate Sherilyn Thomas, who drilled a shot past Hornet goalkeeper Samantha Smith to give the Tigers their first lead of the contest. The lead stood until the latter stages of the game when Cobleskill was whistled for an infraction in the penalty area, setting up Wilcox to net her sixth goal of the season. Neither team was able to score the game-winning goal in the two 10-minute overtimes sessions leaving the final result a tie.

Smith made nine saves in the Lyndon net while Cobleskill goalkeepers Katelyn Benjamin (3) and Misty Golden (10) combined to make 13 saves in the contest.
