LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit only to fall short of a win as Maine Maritime Academy held on to defeat the Lady Hornets 55-52 in North Atlantic Conference action.

Brittany Hunt scored 12 points to lead the Mariners (14-9, 9-3) while Maggie Smith and Jessica Stahl each chipped in 10.  Stahl also grabbed 11 rebounds and Smith dished out four assists.

Naomi White (Danville, Vt.) netted 21 points, including an 8-for-9 effort from the free throw line, and pulled down nine rebounds for Lyndon (7-14, 2-10) while Abby Fadden (North Haverhill, N.H.) chipped in 12 points.  Donna Lawson ( Irasburg, Vt.) grabbed 11 rebounds and senior Shauna Buck (Newport Center, Vt.), playing in her final home game, collected three steals as did teammate Danielle LaFont (Albany, Vt.).
