Box Score 2 JOHNSON, Vt. - Castleton used a strong team
service effort to cruise past Lyndon (25-8, 25-14, 25-3) in North
Atlantic Conference women's volleyball action in a quad-match
at Johnson State College's Carter Gym.
Sarah Wheeler smacked 11 service aces, Ashley Kepaa added eight,
and Chelsea Schlosser chipped in with six to help pace the
Spartans. Kepaa also recorded a match-high 13 kills while Schlosser
and Jennifer Hill dealt out seven assists each.
Lyndon received two kills and four digs from Christine Bailey
(Lyndonville, Vt.) with teammate Ally Ciaramitaro (Melrose, Mass.)
recording a team-best five digs.
Later in the day, Green Mountain College swept past Lyndon 3-0
(25-19, 25-21, 25-10).
Megan O'Keefe had a big day for the Eagles recording
match-high's of 13 kills and seven service aces. Kara
Egan's 11 digs and five kills helped the cause and Jennifer
McGuire dished out a match-best 10 assists.
Lyndon saw Jaclyn Brett (Weymouth, Mass.), Ciaramitaro and
Bailey each pick up nine digs while Ellen Sheehey (Burlington, Vt.)
tallied five kills.
