JOHNSON, Vt. – Lyndon State tallied two goals in the second half as the Lady Hornets defeated Johnson State 2-0 at Minaert Field.

After a scoreless first half generated a mere five shots between the teams, Lyndon's Kathy Kline (Coventry, R.I.) blasted a direct kick past Johnson goalkeeper Morgan Solomon for a 1-0 lead. Kline would strike again when she collected an Abby Fadden (North Haverill, N.H.) pass and beat Solomon to the far side at the 63:23 mark for the final goal of the contest.

Statistically the game was even with each team tallying seven shots and the Badgers holding a slim 6-4 advantage in corner kicks on the day. Lyndon State's Samantha Smith (North Haverill, N.H.) made four saves to record the shutout and Solomon stopped five shots in the loss.
