STANDISH, Maine – Lyndon State kicked off the 2009 season with a 3-0 loss to Green Mountain College at the annual St. Joseph's College Autumn Invitational.

 In their first match, the Lady Hornets dropped a 3-0 decision to North Atlantic Conference rival Green Mountain. Kayla Brobst (Merrimack, N.H.) led Lyndon with nine kills while Morgan Reilly (Whittier, Calif.) added eights assists. Maegen Fried (Great Falls, Mont.) had eight digs in the loss and Erica Ponte (Westport, Mass.) served two aces.
