LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon State earned its seventh victory in 10 outings Sunday with a 3-0 shutout win over arch-rival Johnson State.

Ashley Phelps (Lyndonville, Vt.) gave the Lady Hornets all the offense they would need to secure the win when she punched home a pass from Abby Fadden (North Haverhill, N.H.) at the 30:14 mark of the first half. Kathy Kline (Coventry, R.I.) also drew an assist on the play.

In the second half, Fadden extended Lyndon's advantage to two goals with her seventh tally of the season with an assist going to Samantha Bergeron (Milton, Vt.) . Bergeron would close out the scoring in the game at 65:09 of the second half when she picked up a loose ball at midfield and popped a shot into the net over the head of Lady Badgers' goalkeeper Morgan Solomon.

Samantha Smith (North Haverhill, N.H.) and Natalia Shams (Swampscott, Mass.) made a combined four saves in the Lyndon State net while Solomon turned aside six shots in the loss. The Lady Hornets held a 20-9 advantage in shots-on-goal in the contest.
