LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — In the opening match of a quad-match held at LSC's Stannard Gymnasium, Castleton State defeated the host Hornets by set scores of 25-15, 26-28, 25-11, and 25-17.

Castleton's Ashley Kepaa lead the team with 18 kills, four aces and six blocks while teammate Jamie Lemieux chipped in 17 kills, four aces, and 11 digs. Jennifer Vibert had 21 assists while Ariel DeGregory contributed 12 digs to the win. 

For Lyndon, Kayla Brobst (Merrimack, N.H.) had a team-high 11 kills and 10 blocks while teammate Morgan Riley (Whittier, Calif.) had 12 assists and 14 digs. Michelle Petty (Pawlet, Vt.) and Ally Ciaramitaro (Melrose, Mass.) had a combined 33 digs in the match.
