Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — The Plymouth State
women's soccer team padded a 1-0 halftime lead with five
unanswered tallies in the final 45 minutes of play en route to a
6-0 win over Lyndon State College.
Rebecca Wilson came off the bench to give the Panthers the lead
for good with an unassisted goal at 19:42. Less than 10 minutes
into the second half Stacy DiSabato upped the lead to 2-0 with an
unassisted tally before Wilson notched her second goal of the game
off an assists from Gianna Minervini at 56:36. Lauren
Lavery's unassisted goal at the 58:43 mark extended
Plymouth's advantage to 4-0 and Eliza Roy-Webb sent home the
fifth PSU goal 11 minutes later off an assist from Minervini.
Cassie Barnard's goal at 73:24, off a pass from Katherine
Goller, closed out the scoring in the contest and sent the Panthers
on to their fifth victory of the season. The loss dropped Lyndon to
6-3 overall.
Plymouth goalkeepers Angelina LaBroad and Sarah Pomeroy combined
to make three saves in the game while the LSC tandem of
Samantha Smith (North Haverhill, N.H.) and
Natalia Shams (Swampscott, Mass.) turned aside 13
shots. Plymouth State outshot Lyndon State by a margin of 36-4.
