Nate Stewart is entering his fifth season on the Hornet coaching staff.  He initially joined the staff in the Spring of 2018 and rejoined the program in 2020.  Stewart is an alumnus of Lyndon State College who played three years of baseball.  He was also a student in the Education program.

Stewart graduated from North Country High School in Newport, VT, where he was an All-State player for The Falcons.  Upon graduating, he attended Bridgeton Academy in Maine prior to attending Husson University and then transferring into Lyndon State College.  During his playing days with the Hornets, Stewart led the nation in successful sacrifice bunts executed.  He was also a defensive staple his first two years on the team, playing a major role in the development of starting pitcher Jeff Williams (Lyndon State '17).  Stewart is remembered for his gritty play on the field and was a leader among the team.

Stewart works with the Hornet catchers on fundamentals, mental game and building relationships with their pitchers.  He has also taken on working with Hornet outfielders in the past and assisted with all aspects of the offense. He serves as the first base coach on gameday.
