Drayton Harris

Drayton Harris joined the Lyndon Baseball staff as a Graduate Assistant in the fall of 2025.  A former collegiate baseball player and pitching coach, Harris brings a strong background in player development and pitching instruction.  A Perfect Game All-American and Top 100 national prospect in the 2018 graduating class, he began his collegiate career at Navarro Junior College, where he competed from 2018–2021 on a full scholarship before continuing at Texas Wesleyan University during the 2021–2022 season.

Following injury challenges, Harris transitioned from competitive play and earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Tarleton State University in 2023.  He began his coaching career in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as an assistant coach and pitching coordinator with the Fort Worth Lobos, where he played a key role in pitching development and overall program growth.  In the summer of 2024, Harris also worked with the Texas Rangers Youth Academy, contributing to high-level youth development.

In 2025, Harris continued coaching through private instruction and select baseball with the Lobos.  His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, competitive confidence, and long-term athlete development.  He oversees the Hornet pitching staff.
