Hornet women's lacrosse drops final road game of the season at Thomas

Waterville, ME - Thomas College scored the first six goals of the game, then cruised to a 13-1 victory over Northern Vermont University-Lyndon in Sunday's North Atlantic Conference women's lacrosse game.  With the win the Terriers improve to 7-8 overall and 4-3 in NAC play.  The Hornets remain winless in nine games, including five NAC contests.

Mary LaRochelle paced Thomas with four goals and an assist.  Sydney Pinkham, Alia Chasse, Scarlett Raymond-Ayer, and Lauren Bartlett all scored twice for the Terriers.  Katie Cushing (St. Johnsbury, VT) scored the lone Lyndon goal at the 7:59 mark of the opening quarter.

Lizzy Gotay made six saves and got the win in goal for Thomas.  Paige Daley (Pleasant Valley, NY) made 12 stops in net for the Hornets.

Thomas outshot Lyndon, 45-13, and won 14 of 17 draw controls.

Sunday's game was the final scheduled contest for the Hornets this season.  Lyndon has two previously postponed North Atlantic Conference games, against Husson University and Cazenovia College, which have not yet been rescheduled.  The status of these games is still being determined.
